Mission Statement

Take A Bow Productions is a non-profit youth theatre company that provides professional training and performances for the entire community.  We are dedicated to quality performances while emphasizing teamwork, responsibility and a greater sense of self in each of our students. 

Our Guiding Principles

  • We recognize the value of artistic expression and social interaction.
  • We place priority on the highest professional standards in all areas of production.
  • We provide a positive environment in which young people can learn teamwork and communication skills and build self-esteem.
  • Provide programs give children of all ages an opportunity to work together and learn from each other.
  • To provide Educational classes, which focus on building self-confidence through theatre games and performance.
  • To provide classes for educators offer new and interesting ways in how to approach traditional academic subjects, such as math and social studies.
  • Provide new methods of communication with students, using Drama education.  
  • Provide and assist in growth and development of theatre in Chatham-Kent through support for local playwrights, actors, and theatre personnel in the creation of new work for Canadian children. 
  • Provide opportunities to develop theatre and performance skills, particularly to young people and other social and cultural groups who are under-represented.
  • Provide and create educational opportunities for school students within the theatre's curriculum, which enhance their creative ability and extend their studies.
  • To combine with other partners, as sponsors, co-producers or funders to enhance and extend the quality and scope of our productions and other activities.
  • Maintain strong links with our local community regular education workshops and touring shows.
  • Produce professional theatre that entertains, educates, and advocates for children and youth.
  • Provide training in theatre and related arts by professional artists and instructors that is accessible to people of all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Key Objectives

  •  To provide, create, develop and produce a vital and dynamic programme of theatre, and other live performances and projects, for all the people of Chatham-Kent and surrounding areas.
  • To construct, perform and present a variety of theatrical productions focused on children and family theatre.
  • To combine our own productions, projects, collaborations with other partners and touring work, to create a programme of the highest quality, maximum diversity and greatest possible accessibility, within a sound and sustainable financial framework.



Artistic Mandate
To provide and serve as a theatre resource for the children and youth of Chatham-Kent by offering a vehicle for experiencing and developing an appreciation of theatre and an opportunity to receive training in the practice of theatre by professional artists and educators through our performance company, a theatre school and theatre-in-education services.
